Rules of advertising
Every listing you post is reviewed by an admin before it goes live. To keep NiagaTani safe and useful for the Malaysian agriculture community, please follow the rules below. Ads that break them will be rejected.
1. General rules
- Post in English or Bahasa Malaysia. Use clear, accurate titles.
- One listing per item. Do not repost the same item multiple times.
- Prices must be in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and reflect what you actually charge.
- Use your own photos of the actual item whenever possible. Stock photos are only allowed for brand-new sealed products.
- Choose the correct category and location so buyers can find your ad.
- Keep contact details out of the description — phone, email and links are auto-hidden with **** for your safety. Buyers reach you through chat or the "Show phone" button.
2. Allowed on NiagaTani
- Farm machinery and attachments (tractors, harvesters, sprayers, ploughs).
- Irrigation equipment (drip systems, pumps, tubing, fittings).
- IoT devices and sensors (soil, weather, gateway, cameras).
- Fertilizer, soil amendments, seeds and approved farm inputs.
- Farm services (rental, maintenance, agronomy consultation).
NiagaTani is an agriculture marketplace. You may list:
3. Prohibited items and content
- Counterfeit, stolen, or recalled goods.
- Unregistered pesticides, banned chemicals or restricted agrochemicals without the required permit.
- Livestock, wildlife, protected species or any animals.
- Weapons, firearms, explosives or hazardous materials.
- Drugs, tobacco, vape products, alcohol, or any regulated substance.
- Adult content, gambling, financial schemes, MLM recruitment, or crypto offerings.
- Off-topic items unrelated to agriculture (fashion, electronics for personal use, vehicles that are not farm machinery, etc.).
- Job postings, personal ads, political campaigning, or requests for donations.
- Anything illegal under Malaysian law.
Ads containing any of the following will be rejected:
4. Listing quality
- Title describes the actual item (brand, model, capacity). No ALL CAPS spam, emojis, or clickbait.
- Description should include condition, age, specifications, warranty and delivery options.
- Photos must be clear, well-lit and show the real item — no watermarks from other sites.
- No misleading pricing (e.g. RM 1 to bait clicks). Negotiable prices should be reasonable.
5. Safe trading
- NiagaTani is a listing platform. Payment, delivery and inspection are arranged directly between buyer and seller.
- Never pay upfront deposits to strangers. Inspect machinery in person before payment when possible.
- Report suspicious ads or users to our team so we can take action.
